Excellent.

Location near to places that I enjoy (shops, beach, entertainment ). Staff helpful. I like the fossils and mineral display.

The wi-fi could be better, had to log in many times rather than stay logged in.

Far exceeded expectations in all aspects.

Room was clean and well presented. The Staff were helpful and very prompt with room make up. Overall facilities were well beyond expectations. Location close to good eating and beaches.

Cant think of anything that could be realistically improved.

Beautiful set-up close to everything!

The hotel location is fantastic! Minutes from great food, nightlife, and the beach. Hard to ask for much more than that from a hotel property. The pools are both very nice, located in the middle of the hotel so pretty quiet and undisturbed from passing traffic or other patrons. The size of the property is deceptively big, so entering doesn't feel like you're staying at a massive hotel. The hotel provides some bicycles that you can check out to get around the local area, a feature I found to be particularly nice.

While the hotel presents as a boutique, it really is a larger hotel, so moving from the entrance to your room can be a good hike through several corridors. This isn't inherently a bad thing, but something to note that may not be as well understood from the booking process or photos.

My 8th time at Hotel Agate and again I loved it.

The staff are ready and waiting to look after any request. The facilities and pools are kept exceptionally clean and are very comfortable.

I missed not having breakfast by the pool, the dinning room, and the pool side bar.

Good but I expected better

The hotel is nice and fresh, and rooms have balcony. The main pool area has a cosy feel. The Agate Spa massage ladies are professional, and you will get a relaxing massage at a good discount.

Located in a gay area. Many gay couples stay at the hotel. I wouldn't usually be bothered, but I think it is important to highlight this fact. There's no room service, which you would expect in a 4 star hotel, which has received excellent reviews. The two pool areas are not connected and only one is serviced with a bar and towels etc.

Maintenance issues need addressing. Not all lights in room worked. Wardrobe light wouldn’t go out unless we left the doors open.

Good value for the money

Relatively clean. Close to the beach. The room was nice. Shower Water hot. Staff friendly. Baht bus was a block away. The price of my stay was very reasonable.

The location is a bit far from the busy areas. There were a number of I guess you could call them gay massage parlors outside and the guys would cat call us. Kind of annoying.

Never again. Not be be recommend if you are no Chinese Group traveller.

I have been there 4 times before. Will never do again. Maybe Mgmt changed and focus is on Chinese Bus/Group travellers ...? Ok. Not my problem anymore.

Mr. Tree at Reception unfriendly when asked for Parking car. Booked for 2x persons but only got 2x pillows. When asked for more. They wanted to CHARGE money for additional pillows. Towels old with bad smell. Furniture old. Room interiors need refurbishment .

Enjoyed it there..just improve the breakfast.

Lovely friendly staff..Clean Rooms..good location.Nice Coffee.

Breakfast was poor. .Tasted good, plenty of it, but a bit 'same same every day'.Sausages,Bacon and Beans is all it needs..no hotdogs! Difficult to Swim with the water aeration/filter system constantly On.Need to Ask them to turn it off for you.

All in all though, ok for the price I paid

Everything was as expected, although the breakfast for European was not so good . I had just a 2 night stay before moving on, and got a special deal on Booking.com just 170 baht per night which was well below the usual cost, which I would not expect to pay, as I believe overpriced most of the time , my only other gripe would be that although I booked , pay at hotel , the full amount had been charged to my credit card before I arrived, I would normally pay by cash

Decent hotel - good location.

Excellent Location, well appointed rooms, decent mattress, decent pillows, in room safe, Kettle and coffee provided. Good housekeeping. Soap and shower gels etc provided. Quiet in room A/C. Staff where very friendly. Hotel was very clean in general. Can not comment on other facilities as not used.

A/C was quiet indoors but you could hear the low vibrations from the exchange unit which was located right outside the room, disturbing sleep. Pillows too hard for personal preference. In room safe, not laptop compatible.

Superb stay!

Superb stay! ,Clean, modern rooms, ,good bed, lovely pools in a nice garden setting, perfect location in the heart of Jomtien Complex! 2 min walk to next street, with eally good restaurants, lots of bars, cafes and more! 8 min walk to the beach! Already booked my next stay here in 2 weeks!

Enjoyable stay

The salt water pool was excellent. Location - commuting to all areas of Pattaya was easy.

Except for one person, it was difficult to communicate with the staff on duty. Also, there was a restriction on drinking water and coffeemate. Also, all tv channels were not available/no guide to help us find them
